Ruby Claire, single mother of deaf-mute teenager Leslie, operates a drive-in theater, where she employs a number of ex-cons, some of whom begin to die in bizarre ways. Eventually, Ruby discovers that the spirit of her dead mobster husband has possessed Leslie, seeking revenge through the tormented girl.
